Upon the petition of all parties concerned, and it
appearing that the municipality of La Paz, Province of Leyte is not in a
position to pay for the expenses of the special election called under
Proclamation No. 425 dated November 28, 1953, I, Elpidio Quirino, President of
the Philippines, do hereby revoke said Proclamation No. 425, and declare the
same inoperative.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand
and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 15th day of
December, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-three, and of the
Independence of the Philippines, the eighth.
