FURTHER EXTENDING THE PERIOD FOR THE SOLICITATION OF VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTION FOR THE UNITED NATIONS APPEAL FOR CHILDREN.

WHEREAS, the period fixed in Proclamation No. 57,
dated February 26, 1948, as extended by Proclamation No, 60, dated March 20,
1948, for the active solicitation of voluntary contribution for the United
Nations Appeal for Children has been found inadequate; and

WHEREAS, there is need of further extending the
said period in order that the campaign may be made still more effective and
successful;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Elpidio Quirino, President of
the Philippines, do hereby further extend up to May 15, 1948, the period within
which active solicitation of voluntary contribution for the United Nations
Appeal for Children may be made.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand
and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 30th day of April, in the year of Our Lord,
nineteen hundred and forty-eight, and of the Independence of the Philippines,
the second.
