THE PEOPLE OF THE PHILIPPINES, PLAINTIFF-APPELLEE, VS. JUDITO SANCHEZ, ACCUSED-APPELLANT.
SINGH, J.:
In her Compliance[2] letter dated March 3, 2014, Atty. Louise Marie Therese B. Escobido, as the BCOC, prayed for an extension of fifteen (15) days within which to submit the said TSN. Subsequently, this Court, in its Minute Resolution[3] of August 6, 2014, directed Atty. Escobido to show cause, within five (5) days from notice, why she should not be cited for contempt of court for failure to submit the lacking TSN within the extended period she prayed for.
Notably, Atty. Escobido received a copy of the August 6, 2014 Minute Resolution on September 23, 2014.[4] Yet, per JRD verification report dated November 12, 2014, the required lacking TSN remains un-submitted and Atty. Escobido failed to comply with the show-cause order.
Consequently, Atty. Escobido is hereby given one last chance to comply with the foregoing directives and is granted a final period of ten (10) days from receipt hereof to submit the August 14, 2006 TSN of witness Annabelle Carpentero or explain her inability to do so, under pain of contempt.
SO ORDERED.
