DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 1 TO 7, 1963, AS HOME INDUSTRIES WEEK

WHEREAS, the development of our country’s cottage
industry potential depends on increased production and patronage and
improvement of the methods of production and standards of cottage products; and

WHEREAS, there is need for more of our people to
engage in cottage industries and participate in the attainment of economic
self-sufficiency;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President
of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby
declare October 1 to 7, 1963, as Home Industries Week under the auspices of the
National Cottage Industries Development Authority. I call upon all government
and private entities and all residents of the Philippines to lend their full
cooperation in making the observance of the Week a success.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand
and Caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 30th day of
September, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-three.
