Presidential Proclamations January 27, 1953



WHEREAS, section 10 of Republic Act No. 832,
entitled “An Act to regulate the sale, exchange, or delivery of home pounded,
undermilled, milled or polished rice, and providing penalty for violation
thereof,” provides that said Act shall take effect upon the proclamation of the
President of the Philippines when the Secretary of Health certifies that the
province or provinces and cities concerned have already the facilities
necessary to implement the law; and

WHEREAS, the Secretary of Health certifies that
the Provinces of Bataan and Tarlac are now adequately provided with the
necessary facilities for the implementation of Republic Act No. 832;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Elpidio Quirino, President of
the Philippines, pursuant to the authority vested in me by section 10 of
Republic Act No. 832, do hereby proclaim that said Act shall take effect in the
Provinces of Bataan and. Tarlac thirty days after the date hereof.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand
and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 27th day of
January, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-three, and of the
Independence of the Philippines, the seventh.
