PROCLAMATION NO. 1395, August 18, 2026
DECLARING MONDAY, 14 SEPTEMBER 2026, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE BANGSAMORO AUTONOMOUS REGION IN MUSLIM MINDANAO
WHEREAS, Republic Act (RA) No. 12317, amending Section 13, Article XVI of RA No. 11054, reset the first Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections on the Second Monday on September 2026 or on 14 September 2026;
WHEREAS, in order to give the people of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao the opportunity to actively and fully participate in the election and exercise their right to vote, it is but fitting and proper to declare Monday, 14 September 2026, as a special (non-working) day;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, RALPH G. RECTO, Acting Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare Monday, 14 September 2026, a special (non-working) day in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
