On November 4, 2013, petitioner Mario G. Verde filed a Motion for Reconsideration[1] of Our Decision[2]
dated October 9, 2013 denying the petition for review. On the same
date, petitioner likewise filed a Motion to Submit Affidavit of
Desistance[3] whereby he
prayed that the instant case be considered closed for the purpose of
maintaining the harmonious relationship between teachers, administrators
and parents of the students of Talavera National High School (TNHS),
Talavera, Nueva Ecija.

After going over the grounds raised in the Motion for Reconsideration sans
any comment filed by any of the respondents, We resolve to deny the
motion. The issues raised in the instant motion are mere reiterations of
the grounds already judiciously evaluated and passed upon in Our
aforementioned Decision. We, therefore, find no compelling reason to
modify or reverse the same.
WHEREFORE, in view of the foregoing, the Motion for Reconsideration is hereby DENIED. The Motion to Submit Affidavit of Desistance is NOTED. Accordingly, this case is considered CLOSED and TERMINATED.
