DECLARING FRIDAY, 28 AUGUST 2026, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF KUMALARANG, PROVINCE OF ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR
Presidential Proclamations August 26, 2026
WHEREAS, the Municipality of Kumalarang, Province of Zamboanga del Sur will mark the celebration of the Padul-Os Festival on 29 August 2026, which falls on a Saturday;
WHEREAS, to enable the people of the Municipality of Kumalarang to fully participate in the occasion, the Office of the Mayor of Municipality of Kumalarang requested that 28 August 2026, Friday, be declared as a special (non-working) day in lieu of 29 August 2026;
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Kumalarang be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, RALPH G. RECTO, Acting Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare Friday, 28 August 2026, a special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Kumalarang, Province of Zamboanga del Sur.
