PROCLAMATION NO. 1470, October 05, 2026
DECLARING TUESDAY, 20 OCTOBER 2026, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF BATAC, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE
WHEREAS, on 20 October 2026, Tuesday, the City of Batac, Province of Ilocos Norte, will mark the 160th birth anniversary of General Artemio Ricarte, a general during the Philippine Revolution and Philippine-American War who was born in Batac, Ilocos Norte on 20 October 1866;
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of City of Batac be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, RALPH G. RECTO, Acting Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare Tuesday, 20 October 2026, a special (non-working) day in the City of Batac, Province of Ilocos Norte.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
