After the submission of the required pleadings, but before the case was submitted for decision, petitioners filed, on March 3, 2015, an entry of appearance with motion to withdraw petition[1] stating that Atty. Genaro S. Jacosalem, petitioners’ former counsel, had died on May 11, 2014, requesting that all notices, orders and pleadings be sent to petitioners’ new counsel, Atty. Samuel A. Laurente of Melgar Tria Tria & Laurente (METRILLAW) Offices; and that the parties had settled their differences amicably. Attached to the motion are copies of the satisfaction of judgment[2], receipt of payment[3], quitclaim and release with waiver of right/actions[4], and pagpapaubaya ng lahat ng karapatan[5], all dated March 3, 2015 and executed by private respondent Macthur M. Tacliad, assisted by his counsel de oficio, Atty. Niña Genoveva D. Dueñas-Dimaculangan, Public Attorney II, Public Attorney’s Office.

WHEREFORE, the entry of appearance is NOTED; and, petitioners’ motion to withdraw petition is GRANTED.
The petition is WITHDRAWN and the case deemed closed and terminated.
