AMENDING THE RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES ON THE CONDUCT OF PROCUREMENT ACTIVITIES FOR DPWH LOCALLY-FUNDED CIVIL WORKS PROJECTS UNDER DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 55, SERIES OF 2010

For a more expeditious procurement of civil works projects included under the CY 2011 Program of the Department, the concerned Bids and Awards Committees (BACs)in the DPWH Regional Offices are hereby authorized to conduct bidding for civil works projects costing above Php50 Million up to Php150 Million per project.

The conduct of said biddings in the Regional Offices shall be in accordance with existing guidelines, including those prescribed under Department Order No. 1, series of 2010.

Within their respective areas of jurisdiction, the concerned Regional Directors are hereby authorized to approve Resolutions of Awards and the corresponding Contracts involving an amount above Php50 Million up to Php150 Million per project.

Correspondingly, the concerned Assistant Regional Directors are authorized to enter into contract above Php50 Million up to Php150 Million per project.

The provisions of Department Order No. 55, series of 2010 and other issuances which are not inconsistent hereof shall remain in force and effect.

This Order takes effect immediately.
