DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM JUNE 16 TO 22, 1963, AS RURAL BANKS WEEK

WHEREAS, rural banks have contributed
immeasurably to the economic development of the country; and

WHEREAS, the Rural Bankers Association of the
Philippines will hold its annual convention from June 20 to 22, 1963;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President
of Philippines, in order to underscore the rural bank’s valuable contribution
to our country’s economic development and to give recognition to the laudable
work of rural bankers, do hereby declare the period from June 16 to 22, 1963,
as Rural Banks Week.

The Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines
and the Department of Rural Banks, Central Bank of the Philippines, are hereby
enjoined to cooperate in assuring the successful celebration of the week.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand
and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 6th day of June,
in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-three.
