The Solicitor General and private respondent Casimiro “Ito” Ynares filed their respective Motions for Reconsideration[1] of our Decision[2] dated June 23, 2014. Petitioners Amado “Jake” P. Macasaet, Enrique P. Romualdez, and Joy P. Delos Reyes filed a Consolidated Comment/Opposition (Re: Public Respondent’s Motion for Reconsideration dated 22 July 2014 and Private Respondent’s Motion for Reconsideration dated 22 July 2014).[3]

We have perused the motions and found no new substantial or compelling arguments to warrant the reversal of our Decision. The motions essentially raise issues that have been passed upon and fully considered by the Court in the Decision sought to be reconsidered. Thus, we find no cogent reason to depart from the ruling subject of this recourse.
WHEREFORE, respondents’ motions for reconsideration are DENIED.
