PROCLAMATION NO. 358, March 27, 2012
DECLARING FRIDAY, 27 APRIL 2012, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF LAPU-LAPU
celebration of the Kadaugan sa Mactan, a cultural and historical event
for the City of Lapu-Lapu;
WHEREAS, the Battle of Mactan is among
the significant events in Philippine history and serves as testimony to
the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Filipinos; and
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of
Lapu-Lapu be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the
occasion with appropriate ceremonies.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO
N. OCHOA JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency,
BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, do hereby declare Friday, 27 April 2012, as a
special (non-working) day in the City of Lapu-Lapu.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
