DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM DECEMBER 11 TO 17, 1949, AS AVIATION WEEK

WHEREAS, aviation is an important factor in the
progress and security of the nation; and

WHEREAS, the people do not seem to realize, much
less appreciate, the importance of aviation;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Elpidio Quirino, President of
the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare
the period from December 11 to 17, 1949, as Aviation Week, and enjoin all
government officials and employees and all citizens of the Philippines to lend
their full cooperation to the observance of this week.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand
and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 7th day of
November, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-nine, and of the
Independence of the Philippines, the fourth.
