On February 2, 2015, petitioners Friendly Maritime Services, Inc., et al. and private respondent Randy B. Geronan, substituted by Spouses Norberto O. Geronan and Evangeline B. Geronan, filed with this Court a Joint Motion to Dismiss[1] dated January 29, 2015, praying for the dismissal of this case in view of the execution of the Satisfaction of Judgment with Joint Motion to Dismiss the Case with Prejudice with Joint Motion to Lift and Nullify Writ of Execution dated 18 September 2014 and Notice of Garnishment/Joint Motion to Release Surety Bond[2] (Annex “A”) dated January 29, 2015, which they filed with the NLRC on even date.

Included therewith are the Release of All Rights[3] (Annex “B”) and Pagpapaubaya ng Lahat ng Karapatan[4] (Annex “C”), also both dated January 29, 2015, wherein the parties manifested that in view of the compromise agreement they entered into, the heirs of the private respondent are releasing and forever discharging the petitioners from any cause of action which has been the subject matter of this case.

Finding the Joint Motion to Dismiss to be meritorious, the instant petition is hereby DISMISSED with prejudice. This petition, docketed as CA-G.R. SP No. 135827, is considered CLOSED and TERMINATED.
