EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 30, October 26, 1946
EXTENDING THE PERIODS PROVIDED FOR IN SECTIONS 3, 5, AND 6 OF REPUBLIC ACT NO. 17, ENTITLED “AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE CIRCULATION OF TREASURY CERTIFICATES WITH THE OFFICIAL SEA…
approved September 25, 1946, provided that Treasury certificates not
marked as therein provided shall, after November 30, 1946, not be legal
tender for the purposes of section 1612 of the Revised Administrative
Code;
WHEREAS, due to lack of time and adequate
facilities it is materially impossible to comply with the requirements
of sections 3 and 5 of said Act within the time fixed therein;
WHEREAS, it is necessary in the public interest to extend the periods provided for in sections 3, 5, and 6 of said Act;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Manuel Roxas, President of the
Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law section 7 of
the Republic Act No. 17, do hereby extend for a period of one month the
periods provided for in sections 3, 5, and 6 of Republic Act no. 17.
