EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 223, September 25, 1939
AMENDING SECTION 3, RULE VII, OF THE CIVIL SERVICE RULES REGARDING REINSTATEMENT
“A person who has served six months or less in the Philippine civil service may be reinstated as a probationer within a period of one year following his separation from the service under the former appointment; a person who has served more than six months but less than two years, and who has received absolute appointment, may be reinstated within two years; a person who has served two years, but less than three years, may be reinstated within four years; a person who has served three years, but less than four years, may be reinstated within six years; a person who has served four years, but less than five years, may be reinstated within eight years; and a person who has served five years or more may be reinstated within ten years from the date of his separation from the service.”
