PROCLAMATION NO. 1391, September 17, 2007
DECLARING THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2007, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE
WHEREAS, Josefa Llanes Escoda is regarded and recognized as a national heroine due to her heroic deeds during the World Was II;
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Ilocos Norte be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Thursday, September 20, 2007, as special (non-working) day in the Province of Ilocos Norte.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
