Decisions / Signed Resolutions SPECIAL TWELFTH DIVISION

GALAPATE-LAGUILLES, J:

On 3 December 2014, We issued a Resolution directing Atty. Blisselda G. De Austria-Recio to submit the date of issuance of her MCLE Compliance Number within five (5) days from notice.[1] The aforestated resolution was duly received last December 16, 2014, hence the fifth (5th) day within which the said counsel must comply was last December 22, 2014.[2]

However, as per CMIS verification dated January 7, 2015, no compliance has been made.[3]

Bar Matter No. 1922 requires lawyers to indicate in all pleadings filed before the courts and quasi-judicial bodies the number and date of issue of their MCLE Certificate of Compliance or Certificate of Exemption, failure to disclose the same will cause the dismissal of the case and the expunction of the pleading from the records.

In view thereof, for counsel’s failure to disclose her MCLE Compliance Number despite receipt of the resolution directing her to do so, the Petition for Review dated November 12, 2014 is EXPUNGED from the RECORDS.

ACCORDINGLY, the instant petition for review is DISMISSED.

SO ORDERED.
