Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:   

SECTION 1. January 6 of every year is hereby declared a special working holiday in Quezon City, to be known as “Tandang Sora Day”, in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Mechora Aquino, also known in the Philippine history as the “Mother of the Katipunan”. Upon proclamation of the President, January of every year shall be a special non-working holiday in Quezon City in commemoration of the said anniversary.  

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following the completion of its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
