In the Court’s Minute Resolution dated 4 November 2014, the action on the Petition was held in abeyance pending the petitioners’ compliance with the order to rectify the defects in the Verification and Certification of Non-Forum Shopping in the Petition.^[1]

On 25 November 2014, the petitioners, through the Public Attorney’s Office – Regional Special and Appealed Cases Unit (PAO-RSACU), filed a Manifestation with Motion to Drop Other Petitioners.^[2]

The petitioners allege that those who signed the Verification and Certification of Non-Forum Shopping are the answering defendants in the Complaint for Ejectment in the court a quo and who filed the present Petition for Review under Rule 42 of the Revised Rules of Court. The petitioners thus pray that the following persons be dropped from the petition: 1) Romeo Nambatac; 2) Brenda T. Paje; 3) Eva Flor A. Paje-Velga; 4) Joan L. Paje; 5) Joel L. Paje; 6) Jackylou B. Paje; 7) Divine Y. Luanam. Also, the petitioners pray for the inclusion of Roberto A. Paje, who was omitted due to inadvertence, as one of the petitioners in this case.

Acting on the motion of the petitioners, the Court resolves to grant the same.

Considering the manifestation of the petitioners that only those who signed the Verification and Certification of Non-Forum Shopping are the defendants who filed their Answer in the case a quo, Civil Case No. 12781,^[3] and who have initiated this Petition, the following are ordered dropped as petitioners in this case:

1) Romeo Nambatac
2) Brenda T. Paje
3) Eva Flor A. Paje-Velga
4) Joan L. Paje
5) Joel L. Paje
6) Jackylou B. Paje
7) Divine Y. Luanam.

As Roberto A. Paje was one of the defendants in Civil Case No. 12781 who also signed in the Verification and Certification of Non-Forum Shopping in this Petition, Roberto A. Paje is hereby included as one of the petitioners in this case. The caption of the case shall be amended accordingly.

ACCORDINGLY, the Manifestation with Motion to Drop Other Petitioners is GRANTED.

Henceforth, the caption of this case shall read: “Amando Paje, Sr., Lydia Paje, Rolly A. Paje, Sr., Arman A. Paje, Maricel A. Paje-Luana, Freddie M. Amora, Mary Jean A. Paje-Amora, Amando A. Paje, and Roberto A. Paje v. Wendy Estelle A. Paje-Blacano.”
