PROCLAMATION NO. 117, February 01, 1949

EXTENDING UP TO AND INCLUDING FEBRUARY 14, 1949, THE PERIOD FIXED IN PROCLAMATION NO. 109, DATED DECEMBER 21, 1948, FOR THE NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN OF THE BOY SCOUTS OF THE PHILI…

Presidential Proclamations February 1, 1949

WHEREAS, under Proclamation No. 109, dated
December 21, 1948, the period from January 2 to January 31, 1949, has been
declared as the period for the National Fund Campaign of the Boy Scouts of the
Philippines during which said organization is authorized to conduct a national
fund drive for the purpose of raising funds for the attainment of its aims and
purposes; and

WHEREAS, in view of the fact that the Boy Scouts
Fund Campaign this year had to start immediately after a series of holidays and
coincided with a period when many school athletic meets were being held, the
campaign committees in Manila and in many provinces were not organized early
enough to give the workers ample time for active personal solicitation;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Elpidio Quirino, President of
the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by law, do hereby
extend the National Fund Campaign of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines up to
and including February 14, 1949.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand
and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 1st day of
February, in the year of our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-nine, and of the
Independence of the Philippines, the third.

ELPIDIO QURINO
President of the Philippines
