PROCLAMATION NO. 1479, April 09, 2008
DECLARING WEDNESDAY, APRIL 23, 2008, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PLARIDEL, BULACAN
WHEREAS, the Battle of Quingua, wherein the Filipino forces were under the command of General Gregorio del Pilar, was one of the most significant victories of the Filipinos in the war; and
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Plaridel, Bulacan be given full opportunity to commemorate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies,
NOW, THEREFORE, I, IGNACIO R. BUNYE, Acting Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Wednesday, April 23, 2008, as special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Plaridel, Bulacan.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set may hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
