AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION ONE OF REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED SEVENTY
Republic Acts June 9, 1948
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. Section one of Republic Act Numbered Seventy is amended to read as follows:
“SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any vessel of Philippine register, engaged in coastwise trade, with a carrying capacity of one hundred fifty or more passengers and regularly making voyages lasting more than twenty-four hour’s without touching port, to sail or attempt to sail from any port of the Philippines unless it has in its complement a physician, or a male nurse if carrying less than one hundred fifty passengers and none if carrying less than seventy-five passengers.”
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
