EXCHANGE OF NOTES CONSTITUTING AN AGREEMENT ON ISSUING MULTIPLE-ENTRY VISAS ON THE BASIS OF RECIPROCITY TO EMBASSY OFFICIALS AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS
KU-1484
NYK 1989
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics presents its compliments to the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines and guided by the desire to develop comprehensive and mutually beneficial relation between the both countries as well as with a view to improving visa relations between the USSR and the Philippines, has the honour to propose an agreement on issuing multiple visas, on the basis of reciprocity, to all Embassy officials of both countries as well as to their family members residing with them, which are to remain valid as long as they are employed by the Embassies.
It is understood that the original entry of these persons into the country is effected by means of single entry visas. Multiple visas are issued to them upon their arrival at the duty station and registration with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
Multiple visas are cancelled upon final departure of an Embassy official and members of his family from the receiving State. Exit visas are issued instead of multiple visas. The Embassy communicates by means of a note to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the receiving State the date of departure of the official and the members of this family and returns their diplomatic or service cards.
In case the Philippine side agrees with the above proposal, the present note of the Ministry and the note in reply of the Embassy will be regarded as the Agreement on issuing multiple visas to the Embassy officials and their family members residing with them which are to remain valid for the whole duration of their employment. The agreement shall come into force upon an exchange of the notes.
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Embassy the assurances of its highest consideration.
