On the basis of the of the letter-approval of the Civil Service Commission, dated 16 November 1999, Department Order No. 3, Series of 1996, on the Employee Suggestions and Incentives Awards Systems (ESIAS), specifically item No. V.b.3, follows:

V.b.3 Agency Performance Bonus (APB)

The Agency Performance Bonus (APB) in the amount of P800.00 per month shall be given to regular, casual and contractual officials and employees of the DSWD and its attached agencies who are in the service at the time of payment thereof (and who are willing to execute an undertaking to return the same in accordance with set government auditing and accounting rules/regulations should the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and/or Commission on Audit (COA) disapprove such grant) in recognition of their contribution to the efforts of the agency to effectively and efficiently carry out its mandate.

The APB shall be funded partly from the appropriation for Productivity Incentive Bonus (PIB) and partly from the agency savings.

This Order takes effect as of January 1, 2000.
