For reasons of national interest and in order to sustain and accelearte economic development in Mindanao. The exemption from payment of travel tax to all passengers by air and/or sea originating from all international ports in Mindanao to any destination within the BIMP-EAGA (Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippine-East Asean Growth Area)is hereby extended to March 2000.
For purposes of this Order, a Travel Tax Exemption certificate may be secured from the Philippine tourism Authority.
This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
