LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NUMBER 2006 - 072, December 29, 2006
AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2006-059 DATED 14 AUGUST 2006 [RE: IMPLEMENTATION OF PUBLIC UTILITY JEEPNEY (PUJ) “COLORUM” LEGALIZATION PROGRAM IN CRITICALLY-IDENTIFIED RO…
For purposes of this memorandum circular, a “developmental route” is defined as
a route that handles light density traffic. This route is necessarily developmental, either because there is no existing authorized operator serving the unserved feeder portion of at least 20 kilometers distance that links to the presently served trunkline route; or it has residential, tourist, commercial/industrial potentials, or it needs developed areas for its subsistence and development. Initial operation along this route is economically, politically and socially desirable but not necessarily financially viable.
This Memorandum Circular supersedes any and all issuances inconsistent herewith and shall be effective fifteen (15) days after its publication in a newspaper of general circulation or in the Official Gazette.
