AMENDING PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NUMBERED 1578 GRANTING EMERGENCY ALLOWANCE FOR CERTAIN PERSONNEL OF THE NATIONAL MUSEUM AND PROVIDING FUNDS THEREFOR.

WHEREAS, Presidential Decree No. 1578, dated June 11, 1978,
provides for the grant of Emergency allowance for certain personnel of the
National Museum to augment their salaries and to improve their capability and
performance; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend Section 1 of Presidential
Decree No. 1578, for the purpose of including in the list of personnel specified
therein other personnel of the National Museum who should also be granted
emergency allowance, and to amend Section 2 of the aforesaid Decree for the
purpose of strengthening the funding provision of this measure;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the
Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby
order and decrees:

SECTION 1. Section of Presidential Decree No. 1578 is hereby
amended to include within its coverage the following personnel of the National
Museum, in addition to the personnel authorized to receive monthly inventive
allowances:

Positions from R-51 to R-55	500.00
Positions from R-46 to R 50	400.00
Positions from R-41 to R-45	300.00
Positions from R-35 to R-40	200.00
Emergency Employees	100.00

SEC. 2. The sum of fifty-four thousand four hundred pesos a
month which shall be taken from any savings of the National Museum for Calendar
Year 1980 is hereby authorized to be paid for the incentives granted to the
above additional personnel. General Appropriation Act.

PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO

PRESIDENTIAL DECREE 1578 GRANTING EMERGENCY ALLOWANCE FOR CERTAIN PERSONNEL
OF THE NATIONAL MUSEUM AND PROVIDING FUNDS THERFORE.

Presidential Decree 1578, dated 11 June, 1978 entitled GRANTING EMERGENCY
ALLOWANCES FOR CERTAIN PERSONNEL OF THE NATIONAL MUSEUM AND PROVIDING FUNDS
THEREFORE, is hereby modified to include the following provisions:

Under Section, 1 in the listing of personnel, the following positions are
hereby included:

Section 2 is modified to include “Additional amount which shall be needed to
implement this decree shall be taken from savings and shall be also included in
the General appropriations of the National Museums.

This Decree shall take effect immediately.
