On February 5, 2014, the accused filed a notice of appeal[1] from the January 17, 2014 Decision[2] of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 12, Manila, convicting him of the crime of illegal possession of firearm. Later, the accused moved to withdraw[3] the appeal considering that he has already served the minimum term of his sentence and is now eligible for parole.[4]

ACCORDINGLY, the Court GRANTS the motion to withdraw appeal and this case is deemed CLOSED and TERMINATED.
