LIBYA ENFORCES NEW POLICY ON ENTRY OF FOREIGN NATIONALS
Considering that the Libyan airport authorities have been strictly enforcing this policy since 11 November 2007, all concerned individuals are advised to comply with the following guidelines/requirements as to how the translation could be presented:
1. The translation should be done by the proper issuing authority of the country of origin or any legal translation offices accredited to the country of origin, in both cases, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) or the Office of Muslim Affairs (OMA) respectively.
2. The translation should be imprinted/stamped in a page of the passport and should not be done as a separate document.
3. The said page should show the seal of the proper issuing authority.
The new policy exempts all members of the diplomatic corps, senior government officials and Very Important Persons (VIPs) who are guests of the Great Jamahiriya.
For the guidance and information of all concerned.
