DIRECTING ALL LEVELS IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN THE NCR AND IN THE PROVINCES OF ILOCOS NORTE, ILOCOS SUR, LA UNION, PANGASINAN, ABRA, BENGUET, ZAMBALES, BAT…
Upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, and in view of the anticipated continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon, and the poor air quality currently being experienced in the National Capital Region (NCR) caused by the haze from the severe forest and peatland fires in Kalimantan and Sumatra, Indonesia, alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures shall be implemented at all levels in public and private educational institutions in the NCR and in the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, benguet, Zambales, Bataan, Bulacan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro on 4 September 2026, unless the respective Local Chief Executives direct the cancellation or suspension of classes.
Further thereto, the localized cancellation or suspension of classes and/or work in government offices in other areas may be implemented by their respective Local Chief Executives, pursuant to relevant laws, rules and regulations.
This Circular shall take effect immediately.
