Before Us is the Joint Manifestation dated January 29, 2014[1] filed by herein parties, which pertinently alleges:
”1. That the parties have now entered into an amicable settlement wherein private respondent received the sum of SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS (US$60,000.00) or its Pesos equivalent of Two Million Six Hundred Sixty Five Thousand Twenty Pesos (Php2,665,020.00), from petitioners as full and complete satisfaction of the decision dated 29 July 2013 and Resolution dated 30 September 2013 of the NLRC Sixth Division which reversed and set aside the decision dated 28 December 2011 of Honorable Labor Arbiter Veneranda C. Guerrero as evidenced by the Release of All Rights and Pagpapaubaya ng Lahat ng Karapatan, Affidavit of Claimant and Receipt of Payment all dated 28 January 2014;
2. That said payment was made by means of Citibank Check No. 1000009263 dated 27 January 2014 in the sum of One Million Six Hundred Eight Thousand Eighty Pesos (P1,608,680.00) payable to Rolando R. Magnaye;
3. That by virtue of said payment herein private respondent Rolando R. Magnaye, has no further claims against petitioners PHILIPPINE TRANSMARINE CARRIERS, INC., RIZZO BOTTIGLERI – DE CARLINI ASMATORI S.P.A. VIALE AND CARLOS SALINAS;
4. That in view of the amicable settlement reached between the parties, they have executed a Satisfaction of Judgment dated 29th January 2014 which was filed before the National Labor Relations Commission. x x x x”
On February 24, 2014, this Court issued a Minute Resolution[2] requiring petitioners to submit certified copies of the documents attached to the Joint Manifestation within ten (10) days from notice.
On March 18, 2014, petitioners filed their Compliance[3] attaching thereto the certified copies of the following documents:
a) Satisfaction of Judgment dated January 28, 2014[4];
b) Release of All Rights dated January 29, 2014[5];
c) Pagpapaubaya ng Lahat ng Karapatan dated January 29, 2014[6];
d) Affidavit of Claimant dated January 29, 2014[7]; and
e) Receipt of Payment dated January 29, 2014[8].
With the submission of the above documents by petitioners in compliance with the minute resolution, this Court resolves to grant the Joint Manifestation.
WHEREFORE, premises considered, the Joint Manifestation dated January 29, 2014 is GRANTED. The instant Petition for Certiorari is hereby DISMISSED and, accordingly, the case is considered CLOSED and TERMINATED.
