CLARIFICATION ON ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 2007-012 OF SECTION 1-3

To address the various inquiries received by this Office on
Administrative Order No. RIB-2007-012, Section 1-3, particularly on the
provision “that clinics should be located at least within 100-200 meters
radius from LTO Licensing Office”, we are issuing this clarification.
Administrative Order No. RIB-2007-012, Section 1-3, particularly on the
provision “that clinics should be located at least within 100-200 meters
radius from LTO Licensing Office”, we are issuing this clarification.
All Driver’s License Renewal Centers (DLRC) which are operating in
malls and being managed by investors shall be exempted from the coverage
of the above mentioned Administrative Order since they are considered
as a “One-Stop-Shop”, where LTO clients can have an easy access to renew
their licenses.
Moreover, this provision under Administrative Order No. 2007-012,
Section 1-3 have been implemented before the operations of Driver’s
License Renewal Centers (DLRC) and therefore, not applicable on their
cases.
