PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 89, January 05, 1973

EXTENDING THE PERIOD FOR THE PREPARATION AND REVIEW OF STAFFING PATTERNS OF DEPARTMENTS, AGENCIES AND OFFICES.

Presidential Decrees January 5, 1973



WHEREAS, pursuant to Part XXIII of the Integrated
Reorganization Plan, approved pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 1, dated
September 24, 1972, the deadline for the preparation, review and approval of
implementing details to the Plan, including the staffing patterns, is three
months from the approval of the Plan, which would fall on December 24, 1972;
and

WHEREAS, due to new organizational changes that should be
done to implement the goals of national development, the three months period
provided for to complete the implementing details has been found to be
inadequate;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the
Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution as
Commander-in-Chief of all the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and pursuant to
Proclamation No, 1081, dated September 21, 1972, and General Order No. 1, dated
September 22, 1972, as amended, and Presidential Decree No. 1, dated September
24, 1972, do hereby extend the period for the preparation and review of staffing
patterns of departments, agencies and offices as follows: (a) Preparation and
submission of staffing patterns by agency staff—January 23,1973; and (b) Review
of staffing patterns jointly by the representatives of the agency concerned, the
Budget Commission, and the Presidential Commission on Reorganization—February
23, 1973.

All concerned, especially heads of departments, chiefs of bureaus and offices
and instrumentalities of the Government, including government-owned or
controlled corporations, the Budget Commission and the Presidential Commission
on Reorganization shall act accordingly pursuant to the contents of this
Decree.
