AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 30, DATED JULY 30, 1947, ENTITLED “DECLARING THE SECOND SATURDAY OF SEPTEMBER EACH YEAR AS ARBOR DAY AND CREATING COMMITTEES FOR THE PURPOSE”

Presidential Proclamations September 3, 1947



The first part of the fourth paragraph of Proclamation No.
30, dated July 30, 1947, entitled “Declaring the Second Saturday of September
each Year as Arbor Day and Creating Committees for the Purpose” is hereby
amended to read as follows:

“The following Committees, which shall be in charge of the
programs to be observed on Arbor Day, are hereby created:

National Committee

1. Secretary of Agriculture and
Commerce

Chairman

2. Secretary of
Instruction                                                                 
Member

Member

3. Director of Forestry

Executive Officer

4. Chief Scout Executive, Boy
Scouts of the Philippines

Member

5. Miss Helen T. Benitez of the
Girl Scouts of the Philippines

Member

6. A private citizen to be
appointed by the President

Member

Done at the City of Manila, this 3rd day of
September in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-seven, and of the
Independence of the Philippines, the second.
