Executive Orders June 15, 1940
WHEREAS, by ruling of the Secretary of the Treasury on June 17, 1940, until further notice shipments, arrivals and mail coming into the Philippines from France and shipments and mail censored by France or her dominions, territories and possessions are no longer exempt from examination as provided in General Ruling No. 5;
NOW, therefore, pursuant to the authority herein stated, and to the authority vested in me as President of the Philippines, in order to assist in effectuating the purposes of said General Ruling No. 5 and the delivery to the United States High Commissioner to the Philippines of any securities or evidences thereof brought into the Philippines, it is ordered that:
Sections 1, 2, 3, and 5 of Executive Order No. 281 are hereby “amended by the elimination therein of the word “France.”
