PROCLAMATION NO. 391, May 15, 1953

RESERVING FOR REST SETTLEMENT PURPOSES A CERTAIN PARCEL OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE BARRIO OF DALICAN, MUNICIPALITY OF DINAIG, PROVINCE OF COTABATO, ISLAND OF MINDANAO.

Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of
Agriculture and Natural Resources and pursuant to the authority vested in me by
law, I hereby withdraw from sale or settlement and reserve for rest settlement
purposes under the administration of the Director of Health, subject to private
rights, if any there be, and to future classification and survey a certain
parcel of the public domain situated in the barrio of Dalican, municipality of
Dinaig, Province of Cotabato, Island of Mindanao, containing an area of
approximately 300 hectares and more particularly described and bounded as
follows, to wit:

Sketch Plan D-42

“A parcel of land (as shown on the Bureau of
Forestry sketch plan D-42, the proposed Quirino Rest Settlement—For the
prevention treatment, and rehabilitation of T. B. patients) situated in the
sitio of Mado, barrio of Dalican, municipality of Dinaig, Province of Cotabato.
Bounded on the N., by Dalican River, block I of Awang L. C. project No. 12-C
(Cotabato Pmd No. 890; Cotabato project No. 12-A (map L. C. 504) and Mado Hot
Spring (national park); on the NE., by Awang L. C. project 12-C block I
(Cotabato Pmd No. 890) and Cotabato project No. 12-A (map L. C, 504); on the
E., by Mado Hot Spring (national park) and block II of Cotabato Pmd No. 890;
and on the S. and SW., by public land. Beginning at a point marked “1” on
sketch plan, which is on the bank of Sotan River, then due west 620 meters to
point 2; thence N. 49° W., 180 meters to point 3; thence N. 48° W., 260 meters
to point 4; thence N. 30° W., 260 meters to point 5; thence N. 64° W., 360
meters to point 6; thence N. 72° W., 380 meters to point 7; thence N. 35° W.,
280 meters to point 8; thence N. 19° W., 380 meters to point 9; thence N. 22°
W., 340 meters to point 10; thence N. 38° W., 340 meters to point 11; thence N.
27° W., 840 meters to point 12; thence following Dalican River in a
northeasterly direction 320 meters to point 13; thence S. 29° E., 340 meters to
point 14; thence N. 74° E., 780 meters to point 15; thence S. 50° E., 440
meters to point 16; thence S. 56° E., 320 meters to point 17; thence S. 50° W.,
280 meters to point 18; thence S. 2° E., 310 meters to point 19; thence S. 17°
E., 170 meters to point 20; thence N. 87° E., 280 meters to point 21; thence N.
75° E., 250 meters to point 22; thence N. 61° E., 240 meters to point 23;
thence S. 22° E., 110 meters to point 24; thence due south 380 meters to point
25; thence S. 15° W., 290 meters to point 26; thence due south 230 meters to
point 27; thence S. 30° W., 280 meters to the point of beginning; containing an
approximate area of 300 hectares, more or less.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand
and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 15th day of May,
in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-three, and of the Independence
of the Philippines, the seventh.
