PROCLAMATION NO. 384, April 04, 1953

DECLARING THURSDAY, APRIL NINTH, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY-THREE, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BATAAN.

Presidential Proclamations April 4, 1953



WHEREAS, under Proclamation No. 381, dated March
21, 1953, the ninth day of April, nineteen hundred and fifty-three, has been
declared “Bataan Day” in commemoration of the eleventh anniversary of the Fall
of Bataan;

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the people
of Bataan be given full opportunity to observe the day with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Elpidio Quirino, President of
the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested hurtle by section 30 of the
Revised Administrative Code, do hereby proclaim Thursday, April ninth, nineteen
hundred and fifty-three, as a special public holiday in the Province of Bataan.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand
and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 4th day of
April, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-three, and of the
Independence of the Philippines, the seventh.
