DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 29 TO DECEMBER 5, 1951, AS LAND TRANSPORTATION WEEK

WHEREAS, in the interest of national progress and
prosperity, it is desirable to encourage and promote the improvement and
development of land transportation in the country; and

WHEREAS, to attain this objective, it is
necessary that the public fully appreciate the benefits derived from land
transportation;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ELPIDIO QUIRINO, President of
the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from November 29 to December 5,
1951, as Land Transportation Week. I call upon all government offices and
instrumentalities as well as all private entities and individuals to
participate in the proper observance of said period and to give full publicity to
the activities organized in connection therewith.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand
and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 29th day of
November, in the year of Our Lord nineteen hundred and fifty-one, and of the
Independence of the Philippines, the sixth.
