Presidential Proclamations September 22, 1948



WHEREAS, under Proclamation No. 84, dated July 28,
1948, the period from August 19 to September 19, 1948, has been declared as
“Anti-Tuberculosis Month” during which the Philippine Tuberculosis Society is
authorized to conduct a national fund and educational drive for the purpose of
helping in the eradication and control of tuberculosis; and

WHEREAS, in view of the inclemency of the weather
during said period, the drive has not been productive of the desired results;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Elpidio Quirino, President of
the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by law, do hereby
extend the national fund and educational drive under the auspices of the
Philippine Tuberculosis Society up to and including September 30, 1948. This
proclamation shall take effect as of September 19, 1948.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand
and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 22nd day of
September, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-eight, and of
the Independence of the Philippines, the third.
