Act No. 3754, November 26, 1930
AN ACT TO CREATE THE OFFICE OF TRADE COMMISSIONER IN EUROPE, DEFINE HIS POWERS AND DUTIES, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
SECTION 1. The Governor-General is hereby authorized to appoint every four years, with the consent of the Senate, a trade commissioner in Europe, with an office at any suitable place determined by the Secretary of Commerce and Communications and approved by the Governor-General, to study, under the direction, supervision and control of the Secretary of Commerce and Communications, the prevailing economic conditions in Europe with a view to facilitating the exportation of Philippine products to Europe, look for new markets there, and, generally, take care of the commercial interests of the Philippines in Europe.
SEC. 2. The trade commissioner in Europe shall receive an annual salary of six thousand pesos, Philippine currency.
SEC. 3. The necessary funds for carrying out the purposes of this Act shall be provided annually in the Appropriation Act.
SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
